A day at the Trax

With a spring in our step, and happiness in our hearts Team JUK headed up to Silverstone to the Trax car show. Having been there last year everyone’s favourite Jim and Science Gimp knew exactly what to expect: HOOTIES! Oh, and a few cars.

Trax. A car show with a difference. No one really looks at the cars. I’m not going to lie to you guys, the ever faithful JimmerUK.com fans, I’m not really a car person. The difference between bhp and torque leaves me scratching my head, and I think neon strip lighting belongs in a kitchen, not underneath your car. I appreciate good looking, fast cars, but that’s as far as it goes. I knows what I like and I like what I knows. There’s one thing I do like though, and that’s the laydees. So when an excuse comes up to legitimately oggle scantily clad girls laying themselves on cars, I’m not going to turn it down…

…in fact, I’m bloody well going to join in!

A day at the Trax

Yeah baybee!

A day at the Trax

Nice. Unfortunately, they didn’t do much, just stood there pouting. We had a quick look at the schedule and made a note of some of the more interesting things we might see… 1 o’clock – Wet T-shirt contest. Hmm, makes note in diary see you at one.

Wandering along the main drag of the public area we come across an altogether busier looking stage.

That was all well and good, but with both missus JimmerUK and missus Science Gimp tagging along, we decided to make it look as if we were here for the cars.

Oh look, found one…

A day at the Trax

Oh, another one over here…

A day at the Trax

Suddenly, SG sees something that isn’t a girl, that does excite him… a massive turbo. He then goes on to explain all about exhaust gasses and spinning propellors, and what not.

A day at the Trax

Sorry buddy, what was that? I got distracted…

A day at the Trax

One o’clock came upon us very fast, so we ran back over to the Redline stage to ensure we got a good view. We did. Very good.

Having driven up here in SG’s super turbo’d Seat Cupra, it would’ve been silly not to test it’s 0-60 out on the drag strip.

0-60 in 7.3 seconds, not bloody bad, beats my Mercedes. SG on the other hand was not happy. “I thought I’d get closer to 6.5. The start was bad.”

Knowing what would cheer up my science obsessed friend, I pulled him across to the Fast Car stage for the Breast of Britain competition.

Our minds full of boobies, we headed over to the grandstand to see the DG1 drift finals. Crayzee people driving cars round corners sideways.

Just time before home to see what we came here for:

A day at the Trax

No, not that… cars.

So, all in all a great day. I would heartily recommend it. Go and visit www.traxshows.co.uk for information on next year’s event. See you there.
